A wild mix of selected science fiction films from recent years: sometimes something breaks on the spaceship, sometimes the household robot goes haywire. Aliens defy Earth’s ideals of beauty or don’t reckon with humans. Apocalypses come across as opulent or comical. There are smartphones for animals, traffic jams in a gigantic tunnel, and a moon that doesn’t like humans. But this should work: hitchhiking into space!
